You can create a new version of a Procedure in one of two ways.
Option A. When viewing a Procedure, you can create a new version by clicking the New button in the header of the Versions panel.
Using this method to create a new version copies the last version to be used as the template for the new version.
Option B. When viewing a specific Procedure Version, you can create a new version by clicking the ‘Create new Version from this Version’ button in the header of the Versions panel.
This uses the version you are viewing as the template for the new version. Thus, you could use a much older version in the event you need to revert back to a previous version of a procedure.
The version number automatically increments based on the last version number.
Below shows the second version for a procedure, starting in the status of Draft where the version can edited.
Now the Procedure has two versions: the Active one and the new one with status of Draft. Below is a screen capture when viewing the Procedure showing the two Versions of the Procedure.
